Sarah Chalke, known for her role as Dr. Elliot Reid on the hit medical comedy Scrubs, has shared a fun wish for the upcoming Scrubs revival. While details about the new season’s storyline remain under wraps, Chalke hopes to be part of a flash mob scene in the show.
During a visit to San Diego Comic-Con, Chalke told reporters she does not know much about the plot yet. “I can’t tease any plot details because I don’t know any — it’s all so new,” she said. When asked if she had any requests for the story, she answered, “Flash mob. I want to be in the flash mob.” Although she’s unsure how this might fit into the story, she feels it could be worked in.
Her Rick and Morty co-stars joined the fun after hearing her wish. Chris Parnell, Ian Cardoni, Harry Belden, and Spencer Grammer jumped up and started dancing to a flash mob tune. However, the group quickly lost sync and joked about needing another try. Chalke laughed and said, “Not the flash mob I was dreaming of, but you guys are trying to make my dreams come true. This is why I love all of them so much.”
The excitement around the Scrubs revival is building. It was confirmed earlier this month that Chalke will return alongside Donald Faison, who played Dr. Christopher Turk. Zach Braff, the star of the original show as Dr. John “J.D.” Dorian, will also be back. Chalke marked the announcement on Instagram with a throwback photo of the trio and a simple caption: “YAY!!!!”
The original creator of Scrubs, Bill Lawrence, is involved in the revival as an executive producer. Zach Braff shared his excitement, saying the show “means so very much to me,” and that he is thrilled to reunite the cast.
The official description for the new series says it will focus on J.D. and Turk as they “scrub in together for the first time in a long time.” The storyline will explore how medicine and hospital life have changed, but the friendship between J.D. and Turk remains strong. New and returning characters will face challenges at Sacred Heart Hospital with plenty of laughs and surprises.
Scrubs originally aired from 2001 to 2010. It followed the lives of young doctors working at the fictional Sacred Heart Hospital, mixing comedy and heartfelt moments. The show earned a loyal fan base for its unique tone and quirky characters.
The upcoming revival aims to bring back the charm of the original while introducing fresh stories. Fans are eager to see how the new episodes will honor the past and add new twists.
Sarah Chalke’s playful wish for a flash mob scene shows the lighthearted spirit that made Scrubs a fan favorite. Whether or not that dance moment makes it to the screen, the revival promises to be a welcome return for longtime viewers.
