Vernon Mounties are investigating after an injured man was found on Commonage Road Tuesday night. Authorities are asking the public for information to help determine what happened.

The RCMP said the incident occurred on Tuesday, September 30, around 9 p.m. A passerby discovered the man unconscious on the side of the 100-block of Commonage Road and called for help.

Emergency responders from BC Emergency Health Services arrived at the scene and transported the man to a nearby hospital. The RCMP did not release details about his current condition or the type of injuries he sustained.

Investigators are working to understand the circumstances that led to the man being injured. Officers are asking anyone who was traveling on Commonage Road between 8 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. to come forward if they saw anything unusual.

Police are also requesting dash cam footage from drivers in the Predator Ridge area during that time frame. Footage may help investigators piece together the events leading up to the incident.

The RCMP emphasized that even small details could be important. They are urging residents and commuters to check their cameras and report anything relevant.

Anyone with information that could assist the investigation should contact the Vernon North Okanagan RCMP at (250) 545-7171. When calling, people should quote file number 2025-16636.

Authorities said the investigation is ongoing. They encouraged the public to remain vigilant and to report any tips promptly to help ensure a thorough review of the events.

The RCMP continues to stress the importance of community cooperation. They noted that timely information could play a key role in identifying how the man was injured and in supporting any further police actions.

Residents in the area are reminded to drive carefully and be aware of pedestrians and unusual activity on local roads. Police said that public safety remains a top priority while the investigation continues.

The RCMP thanked those who have already provided information and urged anyone with additional insights to come forward. They assured the public that all tips will be treated with confidentiality and used to support the investigation.

Police are committed to keeping the community informed and said updates will be provided as the situation develops. They asked that anyone with relevant information or dash cam footage contact the RCMP as soon as possible to aid in solving the case.
