Ryan Reynolds recently brought smiles to fans after reacting to a playful message from a veterinary clinic in Kelowna, British Columbia. The 47-year-old actor, famous for his role in Deadpool and Wolverine, gave a witty reply on Instagram to a billboard ad offering free belly rubs—specifically for pets and for him.

The sign, placed outside Okanagan Veterinary Hospital on Sexsmith Road, made a bold and funny offer. It read: “Free belly rubs with exam. Sorry, pets only and Ryan Reynolds.”

Photos of the billboard quickly made their way onto social media platforms. Soon after, Reynolds, who has over 53 million Instagram followers, spotted the post and decided to join the fun.

On Sunday, he shared the photo on his Instagram story and wrote, “Don’t think for a second I won’t come in to redeem this offer. Belly rubs are why I became a golden retriever in the first place.”

His playful response delighted fans and brought even more attention to the local vet clinic. Comments and shares flooded social media, with many praising the clinic’s creative approach and Reynolds’ sense of humor.

Okanagan Veterinary Hospital has not yet confirmed if Reynolds plans to stop by in person. However, the light-hearted interaction has already boosted the clinic’s popularity. Many local residents expressed their excitement online, saying they hope to catch a glimpse of the Hollywood star if he visits.

This is not the first time Ryan Reynolds has made headlines for his social media charm. Known for his funny and self-deprecating posts, the Vancouver-born actor often interacts with fans and brands in clever ways. His online presence continues to be a major part of his public image.

Reynolds is currently in the spotlight for his upcoming film Deadpool & Wolverine, which is expected to be a box office hit. While he has been busy promoting the movie, he still finds time to connect with fans in fun and unexpected ways.

The billboard ad is part of the vet clinic’s ongoing efforts to connect with the community. They often share signs with puns or pop culture references to grab attention—and this time, it worked better than they likely imagined.

The unexpected attention has also helped promote pet care services in the area. Many pet owners are now discovering the clinic through social media thanks to the viral billboard and Reynolds’ reaction.

Ryan Reynolds’ reply not only brought laughter but also highlighted the power of community-driven marketing and genuine humor. For a small business, even a simple sign can go a long way when the right person sees it.

Although there’s no confirmation yet of a surprise visit, people in Kelowna are keeping their hopes up. If Reynolds does show up, it could be one of the most talked-about local moments of the year.

In the meantime, the Okanagan Veterinary Hospital can enjoy the spotlight and the positive buzz created by one of Canada’s most beloved celebrities.
