Maple Ridge Country Fest promises a weekend full of music, fun, and entertainment for all ages. Set across two exciting days, this year’s event features a packed schedule of performers, contests, and dance groups on the Canadian Heritage Stage.

The festival opens on Saturday, July 26, at 10:35 a.m. with official ceremonies, quickly followed by the Wild Moccasin Dancers at 10:45 a.m. and the Folk Star Dance Team at 11:20 a.m.

At 11:45 a.m., young artists will step into the spotlight, showcasing rising local talent. After that, the first blueberry pie eating contest adds a playful twist before more young performers return to the stage.

At 1:25 p.m., the Silver Diamond Line Dancers will perform, followed by a set from Courtney Hunt, a country singer and songwriter known for her 2023 single “Country Side of Me.” Her performance begins at 1:40 p.m.

Young artists return at 2:25 p.m., leading into another pie-eating contest. At 3:30 p.m., fans can enjoy the sound of The Promised, a rockabilly-rooted band that has featured in the Netflix hit Virgin River. Their popular tracks like “We Could Be In Love” and “Me and You” helped launch their debut album Phoenix, which gained international attention.

The group has shared stages with stars like Jason Aldean and Orville Peck, and their song “Lose It All” was recently used in CTV’s Sullivan’s Crossing.

At 4:30 p.m., the Appaloosa Band takes over, followed by multiple appearances from the Country Cuties Dance Team, who will perform every hour from 5:15 p.m. onwards.

At 5:30 p.m., Dakota Pearl, a band from Pemberton Valley, takes the stage. They blend new country and southern rock with lyrics about small-town life and love. Dakota Pearl has played major events like Pemberton Music Festival and Vancouver’s Rogers Arena, sharing the stage with Tim and The Glory Boys and Aaron Pritchett.

Karen Lee Batten, an eight-time winner of the BC Country Music Awards Female Artist of the Year, will also perform. Known from her Canadian Idol days, Batten has racked up over one million Spotify streams. Her latest release, “The Trouble with Friends,” came out in 2024.

At 7:30 p.m., Dawson Gray from White Rock will perform. Known for his songwriting and energetic shows, Gray has supported acts like ERNEST and the James Barker Band. With 37 sold-out shows and over five million global streams, he’s a rising name in the Canadian music scene.

The Saturday night headliner is American Rock Legends, who begin their tribute set at 8:30 p.m. Led by Dan Hare, the group performs music from rock icons Bob Seger and John Fogerty of Creedence Clearwater Revival.
