White Spot’s popular Pirate Pak Day returns on Wednesday, August 13, with the Maple Ridge location joining 50 others across the province to support a special cause. For every Pirate Pak meal sold that day, $2 will be donated to Zajac Ranch for Children, helping kids with serious health conditions enjoy a fun-filled camp experience.

Zajac Ranch, based in Mission, British Columbia, is a fully accessible summer camp designed for children and young adults with medical needs or physical and mental disabilities. The camp provides activities and care that allow these children to experience independence, build confidence, and make lasting memories in a safe and welcoming environment.

The Pirate Pak, a long-time favorite at White Spot, is more than just a meal. Designed especially for children 10 and under, the meal is served in a cardboard pirate ship and includes fries, a burger or other entrée, a drink, dessert, and a signature chocolate gold coin. The tradition has been part of the White Spot brand for over 60 years.

White Spot president Trent Carroll expressed his excitement about the return of Pirate Pak Day. He emphasized how much staff and guests look forward to the annual event, which has now entered its 13th year.

“This special day reflects our love for creating family moments while giving back to the community,” said Carroll. “We’re proud to help give kids the chance to attend such a wonderful program at Zajac Ranch. It’s what makes Pirate Pak Day so meaningful.”

White Spot has supported many charitable causes over the years. Through various fundraising efforts, the restaurant chain has donated over $1 million to help communities across British Columbia. Pirate Pak Day has become one of the most loved initiatives, uniting families, staff, and supporters around a fun and heartwarming cause.

This year’s event will include full-service locations only, meaning the offer applies to dine-in and takeout orders. Delivery meals are not part of the promotion. The Maple Ridge White Spot, located at 20855 Lougheed Highway, is ready to welcome families who want to enjoy a fun meal while supporting a good cause.

Customers who buy a Pirate Pak meal on August 13 will not only enjoy the nostalgic dining experience but will also contribute directly to making a difference in a child’s life. The funds raised help Zajac Ranch maintain its high-quality care, trained staff, and accessible facilities that ensure campers are safe, happy, and engaged throughout their stay.

For families in Maple Ridge and nearby areas, Pirate Pak Day offers a chance to enjoy a classic local tradition while giving back to those who need it most.
