Two people have died in a residential fire in Prince George, British Columbia. The fire broke out shortly before 2:30 p.m. on Friday at a home located at the corner of Strathcona Avenue and Quince Street.

Firefighters quickly responded to the scene after receiving the call. Police confirmed the deaths but did not release further details about the victims or the cause of the fire. Authorities have stated that the fire is not being treated as suspicious.

The BC Coroners Service has launched an investigation into the fatalities to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the deaths.

Police have asked for privacy and declined to comment further on the incident. Emergency responders continue to work with investigators as they piece together the events that led to this tragic loss.
