The annual Harmony Arts Festival returns to West Vancouver from August 1 to 10, bringing 10 days of art, music, food, and fun for all ages.
This popular festival lights up West Vancouver with a variety of cultural events. Visitors can enjoy free concerts, art shows, children’s workshops, food markets, and more. It’s a great chance to celebrate summer while exploring local creativity.
At John Lawson Park, a Visual Arts Hub features the Harmony Group Exhibition. This juried gallery showcases work from 80 local artists in many forms, including painting, sculpture, and mixed media. Nearby, the “For the Love of Art” outdoor display shows artwork created by young people. Artsy Kids hosts drop-in workshops, inviting children to get creative and share their art.
The festival also honors Indigenous culture. Visitors can see works by Xwalacktun, an artist from the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw (Squamish Nation), in the Indigenous Artists and Carvers Studio.
Music lovers will find plenty to enjoy. Free live concerts happen daily on two stages: the Beedie West Stage and the RE/MAX Garden Stage at Millennium Park. Dinner concerts start at 5:30 p.m., with headline acts performing at 7 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. each evening.
Food is a big part of the festival too. At the Park Royal Beachside Patio in Millennium Park, visitors can relax with cool drinks. Food trucks line the area, offering tasty meals from global cuisines.
One standout event is the Best of the West food and wine tasting on August 6 at Ambleside Pier. This crowd favorite pairs local restaurant dishes with wines from nearby vineyards. Tickets for this special event can be bought online.
Shoppers will find plenty at the Art Market on Argyle Avenue. Here, artists and vendors sell a variety of handmade goods, including ceramics, glass items, jewelry, paintings, textiles, and wood crafts.
For those who prefer a later start, the Bespoke Night Market runs from August 5 to 7, 3 to 9 p.m., giving visitors extra time to explore.
The Harmony Arts Festival in West Vancouver is a vibrant celebration of local art and culture. It offers something for everyone, making it a perfect summer event.
