ABC has officially ordered the reboot of the popular hospital comedy series Scrubs for the 2025-2026 TV season. This news excites fans as the show prepares to return with familiar faces and fresh stories.

Zach Braff, the original star who played Dr. John “J.D.” Dorian, is confirmed to reprise his role in the reboot. Alongside him, Donald Faison, who played Dr. Chris Turk, and Sarah Chalke, who portrayed Dr. Elliot Reid, will also return to the cast. Sources suggest that more original cast members might join the new series.

The Scrubs reboot promises to bring back the humor and heart that made the original show a fan favorite. It aims to capture the same unique blend of comedy and drama set in a hospital environment. The show’s return after several years marks a significant moment for longtime viewers and new audiences alike.

Fans can look forward to the mix of familiar characters and new storylines when the show airs on ABC in the upcoming season. With key actors returning, the reboot hopes to honor the original series while introducing fresh perspectives.
