Police in Coldstream are seeking public help to identify two persons of interest connected to a double homicide that remains unsolved.

On the morning of January 17, 2023, authorities received reports of an assault with a weapon at a home in the 8500-block of Clerke Road, south of Vernon. When officers arrived, they found two people dead inside the house and a third with life-threatening injuries. The deceased were later identified as Camilo Alonso and Jacob Rommann.

Staff Sgt. Jason Smart emphasized the importance of public assistance. He said, “There are people with knowledge of the deaths of Camilo Alonso and Jacob Rommann. We urge anyone with information to come forward and contact the police.”

To aid the investigation, police have released images of two men they believe may be linked to the case. Investigators hope speaking with these individuals could provide new leads. The release coincides with the second anniversary of the killings, highlighting the ongoing need for community support in solving the case.

The Coldstream police are asking anyone who recognizes the men in the released images or has any information regarding the homicide to reach out immediately. Authorities are urging the public to help bring justice for Alonso and Rommann.

Those with details are encouraged to contact investigators via a dedicated tip line at 1-877-987-8477. Police stress that even small pieces of information could be crucial in moving the investigation forward.

The deaths of Alonso and Rommann shocked the local community, and the unsolved case has left lingering questions about the events leading up to the attack. Police continue to review evidence and are committed to identifying the persons responsible.

Coldstream authorities say this renewed call for information is part of a larger effort to ensure that those involved in violent crimes are held accountable. The case remains a top priority for investigators, and they are appealing to anyone with knowledge to provide tips confidentially.

The police note that cooperation from the community is vital in solving serious crimes, including homicides. They urge individuals who may have witnessed suspicious activity or know someone connected to the victims to come forward.

Officials reaffirm that all calls to the tip line are confidential. They also encourage people to share the released images with others who may have information that could assist the investigation.

Camilo Alonso and Jacob Rommann’s families are still seeking answers about their deaths. Law enforcement officials hope that by engaging the public, they can uncover new leads that will bring clarity and justice to the case.

The Coldstream police remain committed to investigating the double homicide thoroughly. They are urging anyone with knowledge about the case or the persons of interest to contact them immediately.
