Mounties in Langford, B.C., are investigating a series of BB-gun attacks that left several pedestrians injured Thursday night. Police say they have seized a vehicle connected to the incidents but are still searching for the suspects.
The West Shore RCMP reported four separate attacks within about an hour, occurring between 9:40 p.m. and 10:44 p.m. Each incident involved shots fired from a moving vehicle. Authorities have described the events as “disturbing.”
The first attack happened near Alouette Drive and Glen Lake Road, where a male pedestrian was reportedly hit by a BB. Police said the shots came from a vehicle carrying four male youths.
Around 20 minutes later, a home in the 2100 block of Bellamy Road was struck by a BB. Witnesses reported seeing a black SUV leaving the scene immediately after the shooting.
Less than five minutes after that, a female pedestrian in the 800 block of Brock Avenue was shot with a BB from a black SUV. Minutes later, another male victim was struck on the same block.
Police launched patrols in the area and eventually located a black 2009 Ford Escape. The vehicle has been seized as part of the ongoing investigation. Authorities believe this is the suspect vehicle, but the individuals involved remain unidentified. Investigators described the suspects as “three to four youths, believed to be male.”
RCMP are urging anyone who witnessed the incidents or has security camera footage to come forward. They are particularly interested in images or videos captured between 9:30 p.m. and 10:45 p.m. in the affected areas.

Police stress that public cooperation is vital to identifying the suspects and preventing further attacks. Officers continue to patrol Langford to ensure community safety.
Residents are advised to remain alert, especially when walking near Alouette Drive, Glen Lake Road, Bellamy Road, and Brock Avenue, until the investigation is complete. Authorities are also reviewing surveillance footage from local homes and businesses for additional evidence.
The RCMP have confirmed that no serious injuries have been reported, but they continue to treat the incidents seriously. The use of BB guns in attacks on pedestrians is considered both dangerous and illegal, carrying potential criminal charges.
Officials are encouraging parents to speak with their children about the dangers of using BB guns irresponsibly. Police say that even though the projectiles are small, they can cause significant harm and legal consequences.
The investigation is ongoing, and the RCMP have committed to keeping the public informed as new information emerges. Community members with relevant video footage or eyewitness accounts are asked to contact authorities promptly to assist in identifying those responsible for the attacks.
Langford residents remain concerned about the spate of incidents, emphasizing the need for vigilance and community cooperation. Police continue to focus on preventing further harm while working to apprehend the suspects.
