A crash in Pitt Meadows on Saturday morning sent several people to the hospital. The accident happened around 9:30 a.m. on July 26, at the intersection of Park Road and Lougheed Highway.

Witnesses said a sedan and a minivan collided. Some of the people in the vehicles were young children. Emergency teams arrived quickly at the scene.

BC Emergency Health Services (EHS) sent five ambulances, including one staffed with advanced care paramedics. Paramedics gave emergency care to seven patients right at the site.

Out of those seven, five people were taken to the hospital. Two of them were in serious condition, while three were stable, according to BC EHS.

The cause of the crash is still being investigated. Authorities urged drivers to stay cautious in the area due to the incident and possible delays.
