Whistler Blackcomb is preparing for its 60th anniversary ski season, with Vail Resorts announcing November 21, 2025, as the target opening date for the 2025-26 winter season.
The resort plans to celebrate the milestone year with new “Wonder Routes,” a network of trails, waypoints, and stops designed to showcase the mountain’s terrain and après-ski culture. Whistler Blackcomb will also host the World Ski and Snowboard Festival again in April.
The season is expected to run through May, depending on snow conditions, offering visitors and passholders more than six months of skiing and snowboarding.
Epic Passes for the 2025-26 season are currently on sale at their lowest fall price until September 1. The pass provides access to Whistler Blackcomb and more than 90 resorts worldwide, priced at USD $1,075 for adults and $548 for children.
This season introduces “Epic Friend Tickets,” allowing passholders to share six to ten vouchers for 50-per-cent-off lift tickets with friends. Friends using these tickets can apply the full cost toward purchasing a 2026-27 Epic Pass.
All Epic Passes also include 20 per cent off food, lodging, rentals, and lessons through Epic Mountain Rewards. The passes give access to the My Epic app, offering mobile lift tickets, real-time trail maps, and friend tracking.
Whistler Blackcomb emphasizes that the November 21 opening remains weather-dependent. Skiers and snowboarders are encouraged to plan ahead and check conditions closer to the start of the season.
With the combination of new trails, festival events, and Epic Pass perks, the 2025-26 season is shaping up to be a milestone year for the resort and its visitors.
